    Event Recap

    LiFT-HER: FALL OPEN STUDIO

OCTOBER 3 · LiFT STUDIO, GRETNA

"That's what it looks like when women show up for women."

On October 3, the studio doors opened, and you filled the room.

    • 30+ women came through for strength, connection, and a whole lot of good energy.
    • 6 collaborators brought their gifts right into the space.
    • 2 volunteers kept the day running smoothly.
    • 50+ businesses stepped up to support women in this community.

Fifty-plus businesses. That's not a sponsor list. That's a community that decided women are worth investing in.

And the raffle. We built 4 prize bundles, each worth over $2,500. That's more than $10,000 in prizes, all donated by businesses who believe in what happens when women lift each other up.

LiFT-HER stands for Honor. Elevate. Rise. On October 3, we did all three.

This was a free community event. Every raffle dollar went back into making the day happen, so it could stay open to every woman who wanted to walk through the door.

Missed it? Save the date: LiFT-HER: SEEN + HEARD, the annual LiFT-HER event, is coming June 5, 2027. More coming soon!

To every collaborator, volunteer, and business who made October 3 happen: Thank you. You made LiFT-HER what it was.

    A Forward Note

    A FORWARD NOTE

    Hey LiF fam,

On October 28, we cut the ribbon!!! The Gretna Area Chamber of Commerce made LiVE iT FWD Coaching official, and standing there with those big scissors, all I could think about was seven years.

    Seven years of showing up.

Here's the honest version: it was never perfect. I built this business one imperfect step at a time, alongside everything else life was asking of me. I didn't have it all figured out. I just kept taking the next step, and then the next one.

And here's the other truth: I didn't build it alone. You built it with me. Every woman who trusted me with her strength, showed up when she didn't feel like it, sent the check-in anyway, or brought a friend is the reason LiVE iT FWD is still here.

So, thank you to Missy and the Gretna Area Chamber of Commerce, for making it official. To Kristi and The Candle House, for opening your doors and hosting us. To Vicki and Chateau Vin, for the beautiful charcuterie and drinks. And to my clients, my family, my partner (Lance), and my friends who showed up. That ribbon was for you too.

That's what this whole issue is about. Perfect isn't coming. Consistent is already here. Seven years of it looks like a ribbon and a room full of people I love.

    Forward always counts,

    This Month's Focus

    CONSISTENCY OVER PERFECTION

Perfect isn't coming. Consistent is already here.

November is when a lot of women quietly hit pause. "I'll start again in January." "The holidays are too crazy." "If I can't do it right, why bother?"

That's the perfection trap. It tells you that if you can't do the whole thing, you shouldn't do anything.

Here's the truth: you don't need a perfect November. You need a consistent one.

    • Shrink it, don't skip it. Two workouts instead of three still counts. Twenty minutes still counts.
    • Put it on the calendar. If it's booked, it happens. If it's "when I find time," it doesn't.
    • One off day isn't a restart. Your next meal and your next workout are right back on track. No starting over.

There are about 8 weeks until January 1. That's a lot of forward.

    Start Now

    DON'T WAIT FOR JANUARY

Every January, women start over. Same goals, same pressure, same "this time for real."

What if you walked into January already moving?

FOUNDATION is my pre-built strength program. It's done-for-you, dumbbell-based workouts you can do anywhere, progressing in 12-week cycles, with accountability built in between sessions. No guessing, and no planning it yourself. You just open the app and go.

Start now, and you'll have about 8 weeks of strength already built by January 1.

Want a program built just for you, with me as your coach? Book a free discovery call at the bottom of this page.

    Fuel Forward

Holiday fuel: no saving up, no making up

The holidays aren't the problem. Skipping meals to "save up" for a party, then feeling like you have to "make up" for it the next day, is the problem. That swing is exhausting.

    • Eat before you go. Have a real, protein-forward meal or snack beforehand. You'll enjoy the party more when you're not starving.
    • Protein first. Fill your plate with protein, then add the foods you love.
    • Pick your favorites. Skip the stuff you don't even like, and really enjoy the stuff you do.
    • Next meal, normal meal. No juice cleanse. No skipped breakfast. Just get right back to your normal.

Like Adriana said, coffee isn't a substitute for lunch. It isn't a substitute for holiday dinner either. Just saying!

    Adriana Ulrich
    Meet Adriana Ulrich

    ADRIANA ULRICH

    CORE HYBRID · In-Person 2x a Week · Business Owner · Mom of Five · Future 70-Year-Old Skier

Adriana runs a business and a household with five kids. Right now she's also helping her oldest through the college process. If anyone had a reason to say "not right now," it's her.

Instead, she's missed two sessions. Total.

Q: What brought you to LiVE iT FWD?

"I lifted weights until I was six months pregnant with my youngest, and I genuinely had my best pregnancy and postpartum recovery because of it. Unfortunately, that particular baby had absolutely no interest in sleeping through the night, so my fitness routine took a bit of an extended vacation. Once life settled down, I knew I wanted to get back into strength training. I wasn't interested in starting from scratch or guessing my way through a workout. I wanted to work with someone who understood women's bodies, how our needs change throughout different stages of life, and how to build strength in a way that's sustainable. Meg felt like exactly the kind of person I was looking for."

Q: What were you struggling with before you started?

"I am not naturally athletic. In fact, I spent approximately zero minutes in a gym until I turned 30. I am, however, a recovering perfectionist. If I'm going to carve time out of my day to work out, I want to know I'm following a program that makes sense for my body, using proper form, and getting the most out of every session. Meg knows what she's doing, I show up and do what she tells me. It's a beautiful arrangement."

Q: What are you working toward?

"Honestly, I want to be skiing at 70. It's truly that simple. I have a crystal-clear vision of what I want the later years of my life to look like, and everything I'm doing now is a small step toward making that a reality."

    Q: Your strength wins?

"Someone check the app! 😂 I'm not someone who keeps track of how much I'm lifting, but I know I'm using weights and machines I never would have attempted on my own. And my boys get a real kick out of hearing that their mom is bench pressing these days. I've gained a little street cred at home."

    Q: Your nutrition wins?

"The weekly check-ins have been great for keeping me accountable with nutrition. They force me to pause and actually think about what I've been eating. Or, in my case, how many times I managed to skip lunch that week. It's helped me recognize that sometimes eating enough is just as important as making better food choices. I've become much more consistent with my protein intake. Turns out coffee isn't a substitute for lunch. Who knew?"

Q: What's changed in how you handle stress?

"Life isn't getting any less busy, and I've learned that taking care of myself can't be something I only get around to when things slow down. Having that time carved out each week has made a huge difference in how I navigate everything else."

    Q: Your biggest mindset win?

"Realizing that fitness can be something I take seriously without having to make it my entire personality. I don't need to know every exercise, track every number, or become an expert. I just need to show up, work hard, and let Meg do her thing."

Q: What habit is finally sticking?

"My body actually craves movement now, and that might be my favorite change of all. When you genuinely want to move, everything feels a little easier. An after-dinner walk doesn't feel like another thing on the to-do list, and getting to the gym isn't something I have to talk myself into."

Q: What would you tell a woman who's nervous to start?

"I think we tend to look at personal training as a luxury, and I'm not saying it isn't, but I see it as an investment in myself and the future I want. You don't have to overhaul your entire life to start taking better care of yourself. You just have to start somewhere, and having someone like Meg in your corner makes that a whole lot easier."

"I want to be skiing at 70. Everything I'm doing now is a small step toward making that a reality."— Adriana Ulrich

Her LiVE iT FWD experience in one sentence: "Meg has made strength training one of the easiest and most enjoyable commitments on my calendar, and that's saying something considering what my calendar looks like."

Hot mom era, fully booked and on the calendar. So proud of you, Adriana.

BizJetJobs just launched its mobile app, so aviation professionals can search jobs, manage their profiles, and stay connected to opportunities from anywhere. Even 30,000 feet up.

    Her advice for you:

Don't underestimate the power of showing up consistently. Small, intentional actions, repeated over time, often lead to the biggest changes.

One thing she wants you to know:

"I'm always looking for ways to learn, grow, and become better, not just in business, but as a person. That's one of the reasons I've loved being part of the LiF community."
