March Is a Bridge - Let's Move Forward Smart

March always feels like a bridge to me. It's that in-between space where winter hasn't fully let go, but spring is starting to show itself. Some days feel lighter and full of possibility, while other days still carry the slower energy of the season we're coming out of.

I notice it in conversations with women this time of year too. Calendars begin to fill, ideas start coming back to life, and there's often this quiet pressure to suddenly "get everything together." But transitions rarely work that way.

If you've felt a little scattered lately, it doesn't mean you're behind. More often, it simply means you're moving from one season into another — mentally, physically, and emotionally.

So instead of treating March like a reset button, I like to think of it as a chance to find rhythm again. Not everything needs your attention right now. A few things do. Choose the habits or routines that support you most. Show up for those. Let the rest wait until the timing is right.

Moving forward doesn't always look fast. More often, it looks intentional. And intention has a way of building momentum over time.

    THIS MONTH'S FOCUS

Consistency That Doesn't Burn You Out

One thing I remind women of often this time of year is that progress doesn't require a complete life overhaul. More often, it comes from protecting a few simple habits that support you day after day.

So here's a gentle rule for March: instead of trying to fix everything, choose two or three non-negotiables and let those be your anchors for the month.

For many women over 35, a strong starting point looks like this:

    • Strength training two to four times per week
    • Prioritizing protein at at least one meal each day
    • Creating a simple wind-down routine at night — even if it's just ten quiet minutes to step away from the noise

None of these habits need to be dramatic. In fact, the quieter and more doable they feel, the more likely they are to last.

Consistency grows best when it fits naturally into your life, not when it demands perfection. Let March be a month of steady progress, small commitments, and the kind of rhythm that builds real momentum over time.

    STRENGTH MOVE OF THE MONTH

Goblet Squat — The Confidence Builder

If I had to pick one move that builds strength and confidence quickly for my clients, this would be it. The goblet squat is simple, powerful, and incredibly effective for building strength where it matters most. It works your legs and glutes, strengthens your core, improves posture, and reinforces strong, safe squat mechanics that carry over into everyday life.

    Quick cues

    • • Hold the dumbbell close to your chest like you're holding a heavy book.
    • • Plant your feet firmly on the floor and keep your ribs stacked over your hips.
    • • Sit down and between your hips, not forward into your knees.
    • • Drive through your whole foot as you stand tall at the top.

    Why it works

You don't need to go heavy to feel this move working. What matters most is moving with control and intention so your body learns the pattern and builds strength where it should.

    Try this:

Add 3 sets of 8–10 goblet squats to one of your workouts each week this month and notice how quickly your strength and confidence start to grow.

    FUEL FORWARD

    Protein First Handful

    Not a recipe — a simple shortcut.

Try this for one meal each day this week:

Start with one palm of protein (about 30–45g).

    Examples:

    • • Chicken
    • • Eggs
    • • Greek yogurt
    • • Tuna
    • • Protein shake

    Why this works:

    • • Reduces decision fatigue
    • • Stabilizes hunger and energy
    • • Helps prevent the "I blew it" spiral
    • • Keeps you fueled without tracking every gram

Once protein is handled, build the rest of your plate around it. Simple habits remove overwhelm — and overwhelm is usually what knocks women off track.

Andrea is building businesses rooted in connection, and that's one of the things I admire most about her work.

What she's most excited about right now:

"I'm building businesses rooted in connection. I love helping others grow, protecting families through insurance, and creating experiences through Flash Forward that make life fun and meaningful."

A belief she had to challenge as a woman creating and leading:

"That I have to do it all alone. Collaboration and relationships create real momentum."

What keeps her grounded when things feel full or uncertain:

"Purpose. I love having fun, building relationships, and making life meaningful — that keeps everything in perspective."

She's a great reminder that connection creates momentum, and purpose helps keep everything grounded.
