    APRIL'S LiF NOTES NEWSLETTER

Forward thoughts on strength, fuel, and living it forward.

From me, as we move forward together...

April has a way of waking things up. The days stretch a little longer, energy starts shifting, and suddenly there's a sense that life is moving again. For many women, this season also brings a quiet pressure to do more, fix more, or finally "get everything together."

But growth rarely happens all at once.

What I've learned over the years—both personally and through coaching—is that progress tends to come from steady choices rather than dramatic resets. Strength builds the same way. So does confidence.

If this season feels full, let that be your reminder to stay anchored in the habits that support you most. When you protect your energy, your health, and your momentum, everything else tends to move forward with you.

    THIS MONTH'S FOCUS

    Energy That Supports Your Life

Spring often brings more movement, more commitments, and more opportunity—but that doesn't mean you have to run faster.

    A few anchors for April:

    • ✦ Notice what actually gives you energy—and protect time for it
    • ✦ Keep your strength training consistent, even if workouts are short
    • ✦ Support your sleep and recovery as your schedule gets fuller

    Simple rule for April:

Let your habits support your life, not compete with it.

    STRENGTH MOVE OF THE MONTH

Deadlift (Hip Hinge) — Build Real Strength

One of the most valuable movement patterns you can learn is the hip hinge, often trained through deadlifts. This pattern teaches your body how to generate power from the hips while protecting your spine.

    Why this move matters

    • • Builds glutes and hamstrings
    • • Strengthens your posterior chain
    • • Teaches safe lifting mechanics for everyday life

    Quick cues

    • • Keep your chest tall and spine neutral
    • • Push your hips back as the weight lowers
    • • Keep the weight close to your body
    • • Drive through your heels as you stand tall

This move is great for beginners and experienced lifters alike. When done well, it builds the kind of strength that supports both workouts and everyday life.

    FUEL FORWARD

    Hydration Before Caffeine

As schedules pick up and mornings start earlier, many women reach for coffee before their body has had a chance to fully rehydrate.

Try this simple shift for the next week:

Drink 16–24 oz of water before your first cup of coffee.

That one small habit can make a noticeable difference in how you feel throughout the day.

    Why it helps:

    • • Rehydrates your body after sleep
    • • Supports more stable morning energy
    • • Can reduce mid-morning fatigue and headaches
    • • Helps support digestion and metabolism

Once your water is in, enjoy your coffee. Sometimes the simplest habits are the ones that move your energy forward the most.

    Kary Wurth

    Kary Wurth

    Founder, Wurth Media

Each month I like to highlight a woman who is building something meaningful in our community. This month, I'm excited to feature Kary Wurth, founder of Wurth Media, a company dedicated to helping small businesses grow and connect across Omaha.

What are you currently building or most excited about right now at Wurth Media?

"We are focusing on growing. We've been around for about seven years now, and we've set some pretty lofty goals to grow bigger than we've ever been. That means enhanced processes, client experience, and possibly more staff. We look forward to growing even more small businesses in Omaha."

What's one belief you had to unlearn as a woman building a business or brand?

"I had to unlearn my competitive beliefs. There is enough room for us all in this space and I work daily on supporting other women-led businesses, especially in the media space. We believe now in collaboration over competition."

What helps you stay grounded and focused when things feel full or fast-moving?

"Taking care of my health. Working out with Coach MegS at LiVE iT FWD Coaching (LiF) has vastly improved my life. I feel rooted in my strength and wellness and work daily on reaching goals I set for myself. If my health is in check, everything else falls into place."

Strong women building strong communities — that's the kind of momentum we love to celebrate at LiVE iT FWD.
